President’s Message

Dear Friends,

Thanks to the generosity of Frank Nell our “Grow Out” Competition is off to a start.  Nineteen people have signed up to participate.  Each entrant was given 3 Thorichthys ellioti.  Their best Grow Out fish will be entered in the fall show.  Can’t wait to see how everyone does!

At our March meeting we will be having a few special guests in attendance.  A few of our top sponsors will be stopping by.  These shop owners have gone above and beyond, and been extraordinarily generous with their support and donations to our events as well as the monthly meetings so we would like to formally thank them. 

I encourage you to flip through your reporter and visit the shops that advertize with us.  Stop in and let them know you appreciate their support.   These friendly knowledgeable people offer a wealth of information and share your love of tropical fish. 

A quick reminder - we will be holding a Swap Meet on Saturday March 13, 2010.

And don’t forget the Spring Auction will be held on April 18th.  We could use a few volunteers to help out. An hour or so of your time would be very helpful.

This president is looking forward to joining some fishy friends at the NEC convention.  The weekend will be a Caribbean theme, and that sure sounds wonderful while I look at the mountain of snow outside my window.
